Thanks to the work of a few persistent individuals, the Trinity lanterns in the front of the church have returned! Many thanks to those who worked to get these beautiful new lanterns.

Presents were delivered to both Melrose AND Ochwilla Elementary schools. Thank you Angels!!!
Saturday, December 14 – Merry Melrose!
The Merry Melrose Parade – Trinity Elves handed out stuffed animals to children along the parade route. This has been an ongoing project since last Christmas…stuffed animals are donated to the Thrift Store, volunteers collect and launder them, and finally hand them to many many children. It has been reported that they handed out forty-five bags full of animals! Thank you Greg and Jeanne Homany and all of the elves who made this parade so fun for the little ones.
Following the parade – The Annual Nativity Walk – Nativity scenes on the tables, Carols sung by the tree, Cookies and Cocoa…what a great combination for a lovely December day.
TRINITY ECW DECEMBER NEWS
WEDNESDAY, December 4th – ECW will have a Thrift Shop Work day starting at 9am. Any time that you may be able to help will be very much appreciated and help organize the Thrift Shop for the Christmas Holidays.
SATURDAY – December 7 – This coming Saturday is the ECW potluck luncheon in the parish hall. We will have a gift exchange of items not more than $5.00 from the Thrift Shop. Any bags of pet food are also requested to be given to LAM.
Thursday, November 28 – Thanksgiving in the Park!
Thanksgiving in the park – fantastic! Many thanks to all, for everything you did to help with Thanksgiving in the Park. We could never begin to have this without knowing how many good and loving hearts we have at Trinity and in the community. As well as our own members, there were a great many helpers from the community who pitched in with food as well as helping hands. And best of all there was much laughter, music and playfulness throughout the park on a bright sunshiny day! Thank you so much!

Trinity’s Annual Fall Bazaar! November 8-9
The Bazaar Team put on a terrific event this year! There was a great deal of donated furniture and lots of clothing in the Forum Room. Many beautiful items from Sister’s Circle handcrafters, baked goods, canned goods, plus glassware and jewelry filled the tables. A delicious chili dinner was also served.

All of the women of the church are invited to attend to learn more about the ECW, enjoy a delicious meal and join together with the other women of the church in fellowship. Newcomers are welcomed and introduced to others so don’t be shy, come and join us.

Pentecost Sunday – June 9 – WEAR RED!
Bishop Dorsey will be with us on Pentecost Sunday and will happily receive all those who wish for him to bring them into the Episcopal Church, “officially.” On this day, Marilyn, Lindsay, and Gianna will be Confirmed by the Bishop and Lynn will be Received. It will be a wonderfully happy day and a great celebration of the Holy Spirit’s grace, guidance, and continued presence with us!
We hope that everyone will WEAR RED, the color that symbolizes the fire of the Holy Spirit.

The scouts of Boy Scout Troop #109 are serving pancakes for dinner for all, beginning at 5:30pm. You can expect pancakes with all the works! For the adventuresome, there are fruit toppings and whipped cream in addition to a variety of syrups. Ham, juice, and coffee complete the meal. The cost is $5.00 a person, but not more than $20.00 per family.

Each year Trinity has an annual meeting during which everyone is given a copy of the written annual report, including reports of the previous year’s activities by each of our ministries. The Treasurer will go over the coming year’s budget, and we will elect two new Vestry members, a convention delegate and an alternate. Please plan to attend and enjoy a wonderful pot luck lunch as well!

Trinity Episcopal hosted the inaugural meeting of the Melrose Chapter of SongFarmers, a gathering of local musicians and singers who came together to share their talents; bringing instruments, voices, or listening ears for a wonderful evening of picking, playing and singing. Everyone welcome!
