Beginning tomorrow, with the Palm Sunday service at 10 am, you can participate in Trinity’s services via Facebook. Morning Prayer, Monday at 9am Morning Prayer, Wednesday at 9am Maundy Thursday, at 6pm Good Friday, Stations of the Cross, at 12 noon Easter Sunday, at 10am
All the services above will be posted to Trinity’s Facebook page immediately after each service. So even if you can’t be there live, you can still watch them at your convenience.
March 31 – A message from George, our Sr. Warden: Many of you have been taking the Bible in 90 days course. I have as well. This past Sunday, I finished reading 2 Corinthians and have started Galatians. For me, as your treasurer, it is no coincidence that during these times of difficulty, no services, no gatherings, and offerings being down, I reached 2 Corinthians, Chapter 9, verse 6:
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so in all things at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work.” This really resonated with me. I do not know how many of you have been able to mail in your offerings, but I thought I would use this opportunity to remind you not to forget that expenses continue and also that based on our 2020 budget, we need approximately $2,900.00 a week in offerings in order to be able to meet expenses. This does not include other income, such as rent, ECW contributions, bazaar, and so forth. The service of March 15, 2020 generated only $2,175.00. Attendance was already understandably lower than normal. I don’t know how much was received for the service of the 23rd since the mail was not collected until the 30th, however, a deposit totaling $3,646.35 was made today. Thank you to all those who despite our current situation remembered Trinity! For the last three weeks of March, we needed approximately $8,700.00 to stay within budget, so we are about $2,800.00 short for March. Please don’t forget Paul’s words quoted above, and please don’t forget that Trinity still incurs expenses during this difficult time, even though some do not continue while we are closed. Please be as generous as you can. Trinity’s mailing address is: PO Box 361 Melrose, FL 32666 Within the next few weeks, Ameris Bank will launch Zelle, a program that will allow you to send money electronically directly into Trinity’s operating account. It’s as simple as downloading an app. If your bank supports Zelle, and most do, the idea would be to give you the option to send your offering electronically. I will keep you updated regarding this option as well. If you have any questions, please call me or call Father Tony. My cell phone number is 727-744-2146. Also, if you don’t have a stamp, if you cannot get to the post office or to your mail box, I’ll be glad to make a house call. Call me if you would like me to pick up your offering. Social distancing would require that you leave your offering in an envelope at your front door. I’ll let you know when I’ve picked it up.
March 19 – A message from Fr. Tony…Let’s take five minutes each evening and pray together. Say, 7:00pm, around the kitchen table, or in the easy chair, just a few moments spent together reflecting on our blessings, praying for those affected; praying for Trinity, our nation and the world. Pray for the doctors and nurses and those brave souls who are keeping the grocery stores open.
God our Father we come to You in our need to ask Your protection against the 2019 N-coronavirus that has claimed lives and has affected many.
We pray for Your grace for the people tasked with studying the nature and cause of this virus and its disease and of stemming the tide of its transmission. Guide the hands and minds of medical experts that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion and of those governments and private agencies that must find cure and solution to this epidemic. We pray for those afflicted. May they be restored to health soon. Grant us the grace to work for the good of all and to help those in need. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.

SOUP SUPPERS AND LENTEN LUNCHEONS: Out of a regard for caution, all of the remaining Soup Suppers and Community Lenten Luncheons have been cancelled
Wednesday, March 11 Trinity hosted the Community Lenten Luncheon.
This year we will share our Lenten Soup Suppers with St. Mark’s in Starke and with Immanuel Anglican Church in Keystone. The subject of the dinners will be “Entering the Passion of Jesus, A Beginners Guide to Holy Week” by Amy-Jill Divine. There will be a short 10-15 minute video with some explanation and discussion.
As always the evening will also include music and a Eucharist Service as well as a soup dinner with many delicious soup choices, fruit, bread and drinks. Below is the schedule of dinners concluding with a Seder dinner on the Wednesday of Holy Week at Immanuel. Trinity hosts the soup suppers on MARCH 18 and APRIL 1. If you are able to make soup or bread, bring fruit or help with set up and/or clean up for the dinners at Trinity, please get in touch with Cinnie Brown.
Sunday – February 2 Each year Trinity holds an annual meeting so everyone can hear about the budget for the coming year, learn the news from our Diocesan Convention, catch up on any church news, and elect new members of the Vestry and a Convention Delegate for next year. Everyone will also receive a copy of the Annual Report which gives details about all of the ministries and their activities for the past year. Please plan to attend this important
